Playground Parc de ses Estacions
Overview
The playground in the Park de ses Estaciones is amazingly large, creative and great for children of all ages. The play area is split into two, one being a large train that spans roughly 35 meters in length with a locomotive at the front, made out of wood, and a large "train station" across the path on the other side "Palma Station." It, too, is made completely out of wood and features slides, several paths and climbing areas to discover, along with tunnels and bridges.
You'll fidn this fun playground towards the center of the park right after the water fountains if your coming from, Placa d'Espanya. There are several benches on both sides, some in the shade by the trees while others in the open. Next to the train area there is a large umbrella type shaded area (canopy) providing a vast amount of shade on sunny days.
This is a great stop if you are walking around Palma and want to take a break or picnic while the kids play. Whether you live in the area or are here on vacation, the park is a nice place to visit and combine with a playground visit.
Not far from the playground is an open plaza with four water fountains that spray water in intervals, providing a great way to cool off in between. You'll find locals playing and "bathing" on hot days. The rest of the park boasts plenty of green space to sit and relax, whether you are meeting up, or want to take a short break an ideal place is the playground Parc de ses Estacions.
We would never have discover this without this entry. We walked the city after visitign the cathedral this morning and stopped at the gates and after browsing mykiids, we saw this playground and the kids just needed a break from touring.
