Parc de ses Estacions
Overview
A large rectangular park, right off of Placa d'Espanya when coming from the inner town of Palma de Mallorca, featuring wide green spaces, two playgrounds, several water fountains accessible for playing, and a large canopy of trees providing shade on hot days, this park is worth a visit if you are looking to relax as both a local or a tourist visiting the city.
The park spans roughly 400 meters in length and 110 meters in width is fairly clean and is well located. The main bus station is located right across Plaza d'Espanya at the main entrance of the park, however the station is underground. The park is accessible not only through the main entrance but several entrances on all sides.
You'll find a very large playground great for children of all ages with a train and train station (completely out of wood), next to the canopy of trees providing endless shade on hot days. There is also a water area with four sections that spray in intervals, providing a great way to play and perhaps get a little wet on sunny days. At the main entrance you'll also find a brand new (from the looks of it) playground, smaller and great for toddlers and smaller children, on rubberized flooring with a few activities including musical ones like a drum and xylophone.
The park is a great place to spend some time with your kids, whether you are visiting the city, (head across the Playa d'Espanya and enter the park), or if you live here locally to meet up or spend a few hours playing and picnicking.
