Playground Engelsberger Hof
Overview
Located in Solingen, this large park boasts a wide variety of play areas and activities for younger toddlers to older children. The main feature of the playground aside from the numerous activities is the old converted train that now sits as a climbing vessel. Kids can climb all around the train, even on top of it.
The remainder of the playground, which is fairly large in size offers various activities from sandpits and playhouses for young toddlers to a basketball court for older kids and teens. There are several benches spread out across the playground vicinity, and there are even two BBQ pits with picnic benches (see photos for additional details).
The playground also includes a shaded roof area with benches that provides some protection on the far end. Over the area is a vast space of forest, that provides for great hiking and outdoor sports (around the Ohlsinger Heide). Parking is readily available close to the playground entrance.
