Luminous Plastic Forms

The CaixaForum Palma invites children to learn and use plasticine to let their imagination run wild.

What will happen in this workshop (adapted from their site):

“If you have ever made bread dough, you will have realized that it can also be used to model and make figures, but will it be used for more? Do you think it can conduct electricity? Could it be used to make an electrical circuit?

In this workshop, boys and girls will be able to let their imagination run wild and will put their skills to the test when it comes to creating objects with the plasticine that they will make, but it will also serve to understand that there are materials that conduct electricity and others that do not. Using LEDs and batteries, they will be able to design their own luminous inventions without the need for cables and they will discover the basic principles of electrical circuits in a simple and fun way.”

This activity is recommended for families with children from the ages of 5.

Additional Notes

All children must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must have tickets purchased prior to the event. Children under 3 have free admission, but also must have a ticket which can be purchased through the promotions section by selecting “under 3 years” of age.

This workshop will last approximately 60 minutes.
