Bambalina Teatre

For just one hour, spectators and theater critics from all over the world have already experienced the fascination of Quixot, Bambalina’s masterpiece. Two officiants dressed in black, a table, the play of lights and shadows, the precise gestures and the dull music are all in harmony, recreating a mutual Quixot and, nevertheless, eloquent, with evocations of goyesque, gothic, expressionist…

Quixot sol, in a room in his house, obsessively reads books of all kinds until he is swallowed up. This is the beginning of this work that shows the wisdom of this universal hero, his love for Dulcinea and the special relationship he had with Sanxo. Through episodes such as the adventure of the windmills or the scene of the Retaule de Maese Pedro (the puppet theater within the puppet theater) we see how Quixot is sweeping reality and fiction until he is finally humiliated by those who surround him and defeated by his own puppets.
