Village Ibèric de Turó Rodó
Overview
This sightseeing opportunity is a settlement to the north-east of Lloret, roughly 40 meters high above the sea level and overlooking Lloret beach.
You can access the entrance if you're coming from the beach, along the promenade, through two walkways. One is located (and is the shorter path) by going left when looking at the castle, where smaller boats are situated along with what seems to be a storage area. Walk up the stairs and within minutes you'll be at the entrance of the Iberian Village. The other, more picturesque path is by going to the right and following the path that leads underneath the castle and then climbing a long flight of stairs. Caution is advised here as the walls towards the sea are fairly low. This path does give a beautiful sight of Lloret along with the beach and sea. Very recommendable, albeit a longer walk to the top.
The sight was excavated between 2000 and 2003, and shows an early settlement in the area.
