Sealife Center Oberhausen

Overview

The Sealife Oberhausen is Germany's largest sea life aquarium with over 5,000 marine creatures to view in this incredible underwater world. There are also daily shows and feedings. There is also a 148m² large shallow water basin where you can discover the youngest breed of blacktip reef sharks, catsharks, rays, and various other sea creatures. Walking through the underwater dome you'll find them swimming next to or above your head. A fascinating experience for younger children.

The aquarium located in Oberhausen is a few minutes away from CentrO, the largest shopping center in Germany. You will also find various other attractions here including Lego land, a trampoline hall, and numerous restaurants. It is an ideal place to visit for a 2-3 hours stroll along the path of the aquarium and discover various sea creatures with your children. Please note that children under 15 need to be accompanied by an adult, dogs are not permitted, and infants up to the age of two are free.

If you want to visit Lego land as well, then there is the possibility to purchase a combination ticket that permits entrance into both Sea Life and Lego land.

Fun fact: The Sea Life aquarium is the biggest shark nursery in Germany.
