Sanctuary of Sant Salvador Arta
Overview
Located right next to the town of Arta, only a short walk from the center, the sanctuary of Sant Salvador offers amazing views of the surrounding area, along with entry to the church that features paintings, relics, and figurines.
You can walk along the walls, however, please be careful with younger children as the walls are in original state, meaning there are no barriers downwards. Either way, as mentioned, amazing views of Arta and the area. At the center of the sanctuary is a self serve restaurant, a great place to stop for a café or to grab a bite to eat, depending on the time of day.
If you arrive by car, there are two large parking lots along Carrer del Pou Nou (Ma-3333), Aparcament Sa Clota and Aparcament Arta, both are free and very large, hence there should always be parking available. From here to is roughly a 15 minute walk either along the road upwards next to the parking lot or head straight along Carrer de les Figueretes, and then take the numerous stairs up to the top.
Once you have done this, we also reccomend visiting the town of Arta, where you'll find playgrounds, cafes, restaurants, as well as an interesting little museum with typical Mallorcan children stories.
