Rancho Sa Coma Miguel
Overview
If you are looking for a fun activity for kids, then pony riding just maybe it. At Rancho Sa Coma Miguel, you have the opportunity to “rent” a pony for children and go on a walk/stroll in the natural park it is located in, on your own. A great 1-hour hike is up the path towards the Castell de la Punta de n’Amer, however if you only want to do a short round then take the paths they go all around the ranch area. The amount of time is up to you.
However, do not expect your typical customer service here. This is more of a “get lucky” to have someone attend to you. The owner is an elderly gentleman who looks after the animals and is not very conversational. Albeit being decently friendly, he’ll get you set up and get you on your way. The same goes for your return. If no one is there, you’ll end up waiting a bit, however, this won’t go against your time if you honestly and firmly say when you arrived back. It’s roughly 5 euros per 30min – but make sure to ask beforehand.
There is also a phone number, however, no one ever seems to answer.
Overall a fun experience for kids if you’re in the area or want to stroll through the park here in Sa Coma, but you may need a try or two to find someone on-site depending on the hour and time of day. Also, don’t expect helmets, etc. This is just a get there, take a pony, stroll and come back type activity – but fun for young kids.
