Playground Ulenberg

Overview

The playground is located within the park of Ulenberg.

The large park is fully encompassed on all sides by a fence as it has an opening and closing time (there are two entrances – the main entrance on the Ulenbergstrasse, and a second entrance that leads to the playground at the end of the Stoffeler Damm path), depending on the day of the week and the month of the year.

Nonetheless, this playground offers quite a variety of play opportunities for all ages. The play areas are nicely separated across the park, as can be seen in the photos. At one end you’ll find a play area for the smaller ones that includes a swing set, seesaws, and playhouses, along with a small water play area in the sand. There is plenty of space so even if there are a lot of people, you’ll find something for your small ones to do. Then, for toddlers and older kids you’ll find numerous climbing activities from monkey bars and rings, to a double-sided climbing wall to practice their ninja skills on.

On top of a man built hill, you’ll find a large enclosed slide within a rocket looking house. Behind that, there is a climbing pyramid, and next to those there are two lookout towers. All the play areas are (for the majority) located within sand so a fall won’t be that bad – perhaps just a little dirty.

There are plenty of seating opportunities – benches and even grass areas that allow you to lay out a blanket, picnic-style.

Overall, the playground is diverse and located in a great spot within a park that offers a variety of things to do – not only a playground.
