Nature Network Cap Vermell
Description
The Xarxa d'Espais Naturals de les Illes Balears (XENIB), or Network of Natural Spaces of the Balearic Islands, is a framework for preserving and managing the rich natural heritage of the Balearic archipelago, including its biodiversity, landscapes, and ecological systems. Cap Vermell, located on the eastern coast of Mallorca near the town of Canyamel, is an area of remarkable natural beauty that falls under this network's purview due to its ecological and scenic importance.
A great place to start if coming by car is to park along the residential area and street of Carrer des Morrás. From there you can enter this amazing place for hiking or to reach Cala Sa Cova d'es Vell Marí. A beautiful little cala, however, on windy days be warned it can get very hefty here with waves.
The surrounding area allows for hours of hiking from small rounds to large hikes in the area of Can Vermell. The main path is suitable for older children, albeit being rocky.
