Irrland Amusement Park

Overview

Irrland is Europe's largest adventure park that is a class of its own. Imagine a place, roughly 300,000 m² in size, where parking is absolutely free, drinks cost roughly as much as what you would pay in a supermarket, and entry per person is just a handful of Euros! That is Irrland.

This place offers over 800 covered seats, roughly 8,000 m² of covered playing and seating areas, water elements that are very large, petting zoos, animal enclosures, labyrinths, sun lounges, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, trampolines, restaurants, and much more. A huge adventure park for children young and old. The grounds are so large that going to Irrland is actually more than a day trip. There is a lot to see and do, and even one full day makes it difficult to get through it all, depending on where you eventually get "stuck" playing with your kids.

We recommend you bring anything you need to Irrland (aside from pets - not allowed). You can rent a handcart, if needed, for a small fee allowing you to store your items, bags or pull around younger children. Bring bathing suits, a change of clothes, sunscreen, food and drinks, and any other items you or your kids may need. There are hundreds of picnic tables in every area covered and open allowing you to stop and picnic throughout the day. Alternatively, through the official website you can also book a "Grill zone" in various sizes for family gatherings, or together with friends, or to throw a birthday party. Food and drink, as previously mentioned, is readily available throughout the various restaurants and imbiss bars - simple items like pizza, sausages or french fries.

Generally, one can run barefoot everywhere. The paths are made of fine sand, hence you can wear sandals or sports shoes. These paths twist through the entire park into individual playing zones, theme based or play equipment based. The whole park is split into three areas - North, South, West, each of which can be reached through specific connection ways.

On warmer days the park can become quite full, however, due to its sheer size there are plenty of space and areas that allow for free movement, and because of its size we can nearly guarantee that everyone in the family will be exhausted by day's end.

If you are planning on visiting Irrland, then we advise you to come as early as possible. The park opening hours are 09:00am - 19:00pm, however please make sure to check the website in case of any changes. Irrland is close to the Dutch border in Twisteden (which belongs to Kevelaer), and regarding the price per person, this is a fantastic value for what you get.
