Dinosaur Land Porto Cristo

Overview

The Dinosaur Land Porto Cristo was inaugurated on July 1st, 2022 and is quite the experience for children of all ages. It is located next to the Caves dels Hams, between the BP gas station and the first roundabout heading towards Porto Cristo along the Ma-4020 (Carr. Manacor-Porto Cristo).

The park features over 100 dinosaurs, with a total of 40 different species in life-size display. What will grab children's attention is that many of these dinosaurs are animatronic, meaning they move and make life like sounds. The dinosaurs have a realistic appearance, however, they may not be touched. One can also bewonder, the titanosaur, with an impressive length of 50 meters.

Upon arrival at the entrance, employees will scan your ticket (QR code) and explain a few rules, including that the park may only be entered once. If you decide to leave, then there is no reentry. Once you enter the park, you are free to roam the many paths that feature all the dinosaurs. Towards the far end of the park, you'll discover the archaeology group which is a fun activity area for kids that includes two large sandboxes where children can dig out "dinosaur bones" with brushes, a coloring center to draw dinosaurs and hang them up for display, visit a tent with tools that archaeologists use, as well as a puzzle area for both toddlers and children - whereas the latter can also be a challenge for adults. These areas are shaded, depending on the direction of the sun.

In the corner across the discoverer's area, you'll come to the raptor café which is a great place to take a short break with drinks and small snacks at very reasonable prices versus many other parks, use the bathrooms, and sit in the shade. There is also the option to eat a delicious burger at the Dinoburger restaurant outside (when exiting the park) through the gift shop, which features a variety of dinosaur related items from apparel to Lego to books and toys.

The park also features a few shows at different hours. Ask the park personnel for more information about the hours when you are there.

Hours: daily from 10:00h to 18:00h (last entrance at 16:30h).

Prices - solely for Dinosaur Land. Tickets can be bought at the ticket counter on site.

There is plenty of parking available outside for both the Dinosaur Land and Caves del Ham, along with picnic benches in case you want to eat before or afterward. Parking is free.

If you are just in the area visiting the caves and the dinosaur park, then we also recommend stopping by Porto Cristo. If offers a wonderful beach surrounded by rocks on one side and the port on the other, offering fun views for kids watching boats go in and out, especially the large glass bottom boats.
