Overview

The Mirador (or view point) of Cap des Pinar is situated along the Costa dels Pins which translated means the "Pine Tree Coast." While driving, riding or walking along here, you'll clearly notice why. Costa del Pins is situated within the Llevant Mountains, running from Artà to Felanitx. The mountain behind the resort protects it from the north winds, so this quiet coast is a perfect spot for snorkeling and diving.

This area also contains several coves, however the most popular spot with tourists and locals is this specific viewpoint, which gives an astounding view of the sea. While fairly frequented in the summer, during the off season a great place to visit, watch, look onto the horizon or even meditate. From the viewpoint you will also have an amazing view of the bays of Cala Bona and Cala Millor. There are a lot of hiking routes that link the Costa dels Pins.

Another fun fact, especially for couples are the railing situated against the mountain side. It is traditional for lovers to lock their padlock here and throw the keys into the sea as a symbolic expression of eternal love.

It is easily reachable by car following Av. del Pinar to the end. The viewpoint is the roundabout at the end. There are some parking spots along the road, however during peak season can get full. Otherwise a good climb by bike or even walking, depending on the family mood.
