Cala Domingos Gran beach

Overview

Cala Domingos Gran is located in the municipality of Manacor, on the east coast in the town resort of Cales de Mallorca. This beautiful cala has an amazing beach which is surrounded by pine trees and rocks on either side. It is roughly 80 meters wide at its widest point and 150 meters long. Accessibility to this Cala is given from many areas.

Cala Domingos Gran is the most touristy part of the city of Manacor, which is why the beach gets very crowded in the middle of summer. The beach has Blue Flag status due to its cleanliness and is a great place to be. There are all the amenities you need, such as showers, toilets, umbrellas, parasols and lifeguards. On site you'll also find a small beach bar with drinks and snacks, however a short walk towards Globales America and you'll find several restaurants and places to eat.

If you are facing the water at the Cala, you'll find a pathway on the left which goes along the coast towards Cala Romeguera, a beautiful, roughly 15-20 minute stroll along the coast line.

You can either arrive by car or public transport via the main road of Cales de Mallorca on Passeig de Manacor. At the end of the road you'll reach a fork, and you'll want to go right along Carrer de Cala Domingos, which when you follow it to the end will bring you to the foot of the Globales America Hotel where you will find several parking spaces right in front of the Cala. In front of these parking spaces there is also a small green area beneath the wall with several picnic benches (known as the Merendero area). If you are arriving by bus simply walk down the same main street, however towards the Globales America Hotel. There is a paved path on the right that leads straight down to the Cala as well. Alternatively you can also reach the Cala parking area by driving in towards Cala Tropicana and behind Club Cala Domingos you'll find a roundabout that leads to the parking lot.
