Bertaallee
Overview
This large, spacious playground located in Neudorf-Süd in the city of Duisburg is a lovely water playground. As you can tell from the photos there is a small caged in area, which we assume, in the summer is a water pump that pumps down the large area along the sand and rocks back into the Bertasee.
Aside from the water play area, there is also a large sand area with a ship (activity area) for children to climb, play and discover. The back part of this area is fenced off for kids not to run directly towards the water, however, the ends are open-ended.
A little further down the path you’ll find a climbing pyramid and an area with three slides, the largest being a tube-slide in the middle that has a little speed. The way up is designed primarily for older kids, so if younger toddlers want to go down, climbing up will need assistance.
Overall the playground is very spacious, seems updated (newer), and offers a bit of something for most ages (speaking of water area:-) )
It seems that at times (probably on weekends) there is a mobile coffee stand next to the slide area – payable only in cash.
There are plenty of benches and places to sit, and the open area allows for space between your neighbor.
You can find free parking on Bertallee, or Friedrich-Alfred-Straße.
