Beach of Es Trenc
Overview
Es Trenc, commonly known as Playa des Trenc, is a beautiful beach on the southern coast of Mallorca in Spain's Balearic Islands. It is a roughly 3km-long beach with crystal-clear seas and fine white sand that is flanked by dunes and pine forests and is protected by a natural park, making it an untouched and picturesque resort.
It is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, windsurfing, bird viewing, and wildlife enthusiasts in general. In comparison to other beaches on the island, the beach is relatively calm and tranquil, making it a safe and pleasurable environment for families with children. During the off season it is a great place for a peaceful stroll and area to relax in. During the summer months and touristic peaks, this beach is fairly full all day long.
It is easily accessible by vehicle and bus. There is a public parking lot close to the beach itself. Even if the small narrow roads seem closed off, you are allowed to drive into the area following the signs to "Playa Es Trenc". Drive slowly as these are narrow roads. Upon arriving to the parking lot you will need to pay 7 Euros for all day parking. The ticket is valid from 09:00 am to 21:00 pm. You can leave during the course of the day (just talk with the person or people responsible at the gate of the parking lot) and make sure you keep your ticket stub.
There are also a variety of amenities such as beach bars, making it an ideal day trip or holiday location by staying in the nearby town of Colonia de Sant Jordi or other areas within the vicinity. Alternatively, the larger town of Campos, inwards from the coast, is another alternative.
