Beach Es Molí de s´Estany
Overview
This sandy beach is roughly 475 meters in length and 30 meters in depth in most places. It is located at one end of the town of Colonia of Sant Jordi, next to the Universal Hotel Marques and is accessible from numerous paths among the trees behind the beach. Due to the nearby local population as well as an influx of tourists in the summer, the beach at s'Estany is typically the busiest in the area.
A dune system is fixed by sea lilies, thistles, junipers, and pines behind this fine-sanded beach with a gentle slope.
This sandy area's marine and undersea features make it better for boat anchoring. At a depth of up to 3 meters, the bottom of Els Estanys is composed of sand and algae.
There are also 3 further beaches reachable by walking down the coast line starting from this first beach - the beachs of Es peregons Grans and Petis, as well as the infamous Es Trenc. On the other side of the hotel you will find the beach of es Coto, which is a smaller beach, with a mix of rocks and sand along its shorelines.
Parking is nearby, however can become extremely busy in the summer months.
Our family adores this beach. What a great place for those with children. Perfect for younger ones and great for older children as well. The town is lovely, the surrounding area is wonderful. Can only recommend.
