The traditional Christmas Market in the Monasteri de Lluc kicks off the Christmas season.

The Sanctuary of Lluc in Escorca is Mallorca’s spiritual center par excellence and a pilgrimage gathering site. Its origins date back to the 13th century, when a shepherd and a monk discovered the venerable image of Our Lady of Lluc, which, over time (August 10, 1894),had to be solemnly crowned as Queen and Patron Saint of Mallorca by express concession of Pope Leo XIII and unanimous acclamation of the Mallorcan people.
