Dinosaurland Porto Cristo

Today, Friday, July 1, the Cuevas dels Hams Dinosaur Park in Porto Cristo will be inaugurated with 100 life-size animals, making it the largest park of its kind in the world. All this, is roughly 17 min by car from Manacor and roughly 5 minutes by car from the center of the coastal town of Porto Cristo.

The Cuevas dels Hams Dinosaur Park in Porto Cristo seems to be tremendous and potentially spectacular. We have seen the construction of a few dinosaurs from the outside, and the entrance area recently and look forward to visiting the park. (An updated post here on myKiids will follow shortly).

The Coves dels Hams are one of two cave systems on the east coast of the island of Mallorca. The caves are in the municipality of Manacor, about 1 km to the west of the town of Porto Cristo. You will also find the Coves of Drach here. However, the Coves of Ham have built this spectacular dinosaur park as a place of entertainment in the middle of nature, as an additional attraction. The island of Mallorca use to have the “El Valle de los Dinosaurios” in Algaida, however, this place is closed.

In the Cuevas dels Hams Dinosaur Park in Porto Cristo you will find more than 100 life-sized dinosaurs, including the largest dinosaur in the world (the Titanosaur), with 40 different species. Many of these figures also move and emit the original sounds, making it a unique experience in Mallorca. We hope that the park will fulfill the expectations around experiencing the largest living beings that have existed and stepped on the planet. The park is within a natural environment of native flora and trees, and from what can be seen on the outside, integrated into the landscape.

The park is accessible individually (Adults 17 Euros and children between 3-12 at 11 Euros), or in combination with the coves of Ham for a few euros extra.

The park itself is located right off of the Ma-4020 (Carr. Manacor-Porto Cristo), between the BP gas station and the 1st roundabout heading towards Porto Cristo. There is plenty of free parking available, along with picnic tables at each parking spot. We look forward to adding this place on myKiids soon.

Tickets and more information can be found on the website and bookings can be made here.
