It All Started during Pregnancy

Like many new parents, we found ourselves searching for family-friendly places, activities, and resources even before our first child was born. During pregnancy, the idea of a “platform for parents” began to take shape – a site that would pull together all the coolest places and things to do with kids in one easy-to-use space. While there were blogs, social media groups, and parenting sites out there, they felt scattered and overwhelming, with the useful information hidden in a sea of content.

Once our first child arrived, we realized how essential it would be to have a reliable, quick-access resource for finding family-friendly places and activities. So, we launched an early version of our site, initially as an Android app with a web interface. But as life with a newborn took priority, we put the project on hold.

Then came our move to Valencia, Spain, where we quickly saw just how much we craved a reliable, family-focused platform. Whether for playgrounds, kid-friendly cafés, daycare centers, sports clubs, or exciting weekend outings, we wanted a source we could turn to on the go. We knew other parents were likely feeling the same way: needing real, up-to-date info about the best places for families, curated by people who actually know and care about what parents need.

The Birth of myKiids

And that’s how myKiids came to life. Our vision is simple yet big: a one-stop platform for families that delivers trusted, insider information about everything you can do with kids, backed by parents and local experts. Parenting tips and recommendations are usually passed along by word of mouth, so why not bring all those valuable insights together in one easy place?
